Well, it's Wednesday. I should be in a generally bad and rushed mood today. But remember the German class I dropped? I actually ate a nice big breakfast this morning at 9:00 and sat there reading for an hour. And therefore I didn't need to grab or inhale a sack lunch before my 4:30 dinner. And so I am a very happy person.
Voice class is beginning to seem like it may get better. It's still out of my comfort zone and I feel it's pointless. I never feel like there are any results from my woeful attempts at practicing. But I sang for the second time today and Sig found me greatly improved. So maybe this is going to work after all.
And then I was in the music library copy room, copying my new voice song and a page for the organ piece I'm playing studio class tomorrow, when Dr. Aspaas walked in singing Handel's "And the Glory" from the Messiah. "That's one of my favorite pieces ever," I said. "Oh, then you'll have a great time, because we're doing it for Christmas Fest." "We being who?" I asked. "Every last one of us, the whole gang combined," He said. "It will be loud."
It will be good.

Grace, I'm so glad you're working on such great music and you have such a great teacher. I can't wait to hear you play when I come home.
Meanwhile, work a bit on your punctuation and sentence structure too, OK?
Oh, and today we got to hear a recording of what the girls' choir sounded like on Sunday. It was AMAZING. I'm going to try to get a copy to bring home and show y'all.
